Ingredients
- 1. 1 Cup Rava/Semolina (Sooji)
- 2. 1 Eno lemon flavor
- 3. ½ cup fresh or sour dahi or yogurt (curd)
- 4. Salt as per taste
- 5. ½ cup water for preparing thick smooth batter
Instructions
- Take a bowl, mix Rava/Semolina (Sooji), dahi/yogurt (curd), water. Check the thickness. It should be smooth thick batter.
- Keep it aside for ½ hour
- Then add Eno lemon flavor powder in the batter. You can check the thickness and bubbles on the surface of the idli batter.
- Use a brush to make a thin coating of oil in the in idli greased moulds or you can do it by hand.
- In the meantime boil 1-2 cup water in a deep pan and keep a stand or base inside the middle of the pan like picture.
- Pour batter in greased molds perfectly. Cover the pan with a lid properly and steam it on medium flame for 10-15 minutes. Check the rava idlis are cooked well or not.
- Now switch off the fame and remove the idlis form the greased moulds or frames.
- Instant Rava/Semolina (Sooji) Idll recipe is ready to serve with chutney and sambar.
